Polyester 1000D is a type of polyester fabric where "1000D" indicates the thickness of the thread used in its production. This material is much thicker than fabrics with a lower "D" rating and is characterized by high strength and durability. It is used in all areas of the Hiker IV jacket that are most vulnerable in the event of an accident.

Polyester 450D is a material with good durability, often used in the production of outdoor and technical clothing where durability is important but a very thick material is not required. It is used in areas of the Hiker IV jacket that are less vulnerable during an accident and are responsible for comfort and freedom of movement. Due to the thoughtful combination of these two materials, the jacket is exceptionally comfortable, yet safe and resistant to abrasion or tearing.
